“Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Pastoral care, modeled after the life and ministry of Jesus, is defined as “relating to Spiritual care or guidance, especially of a congregation.”
To meet ever-increasing pastoral needs at FCC, we have commissioned a group of lay people who have been trained to act as Pastoral Care Ministers. A PCM is available to listen (“walk awhile”) when a member of the congregation needs to discuss a life issue.
FCC provides other pastoral care services as well. These include:
- Community resources
- Durable medical equipment (on loan)
- Greeting cards
- Grief support
- Healing quilts (on loan)
- Intercessory prayer
- Telephone reassurance (Operation Check In)
- Worship tapes/bulletins
If you or someone you know needs any of these services, or you are interested in becoming a Pastoral Care Minister, contact the church office at 248-288-4220. PCMs meet on the fourth Monday of the month from September-May.
